For Teachers

The History Engine project is first and foremost an undergraduate teaching resource that gives students the opportunity to engage in the process of academic research and share their completed work with their fellow students and researchers from around the country. In this section of the Engine, instructors will find all tools necessary to register to use the site, plan a syllabus, and guide students through the project.

To get a sense of the History Engine project as a whole, read through the Teacher's Guide. The resources under Handouts include a citation guide and style sheet to lead students through the editing process, as well as a peer review worksheet. Instructors looking to include librarians and local archivists in the project can also download the Librarian Guide.
