The cumulative database is the core of the History Engine project. The database contains the finished "episodes" of students from around the country, who share their academically rigorous work with their classmates, other students, and researchers by publishing their episodes on the database. Together, the contents of the database provide a more detailed picture of American life.
Use the links in this section of the History Engine to access the thousands of episodes located in the database in various forms. The Basic Search allows you quickly investigate the number of episodes about a particular subject, time, or place. Use the Advanced Search to find more specific results.
